Network Performance Monitoring

Some of the most popular and feature rich tools in the Engineer's Toolset  are the bandwidth and performance monitoring tools.  Leading this category is the award winning Network Performance Monitor.  While many applications require remote hardware agents or data collectors to be installed, SolarWinds uses standard networking protocol.  This allows SolarWinds to maximize the information collected without adding additional undue overhead to your network

Network Performance Monitor - This application is a real-time network monitor that can track network latency, packet loss, availability, traffic, bandwidth utilization, CPU load, memory and disk space utilization.  It can also monitor each managed node and interface via SNMP to report when a node reboots or an interface goes down.  The Network Performance Monitor is ideal for monitoring the bandwidth utilization of your routers, switches and servers providing online and historical charts of your network performance. The Network Performance Monitor is capable of monitoring from a single server to several hundred elements.

SolarWinds Real-Time Interface Monitor can display many statistics from Routers and Switches simultaneously.  Statistics such as Interface / Port status, time of last change, current receive and transmit traffic rates, wireless access points and clients, interface percent utilization, duplex settings, collisions, alignment errors, runts, giants, and many others.

This release supports over a 200 standard and vendor proprietary statistics.

SNMP Graph - SolarWinds SNMP Graph is a real-time data collection and graphing tool capable of graphing data from any MIB (Management Information Base) simply by selecting the device and the desired OID (Object ID).  The SNMP Graph can monitor parameters like: Traffic, CPU Processor Load, Voltage on a Power Plant, Unique User per Web Server, Temperature, VoIP Traffic, and much more.

Advanced CPU Load  - The SolarWinds Advanced CPU Load utility allows you to monitor and graph the load on multiple Cisco routers concurrently.  Warning and alarm thresholds can be independently set for each device.  If the load on a Cisco router reaches the "user defined" threshold for a warning, the load bar turns Yellow.  If a critical level is reached, the bar turns Red.

CPU Gauges - The SolarWinds CPU Gauge will monitor the CPU Load on Windows 2000 machines as well as Cisco Routers and Switches.  The CPU Gauge utilizes SNMP to communicate with the remote device and display the results. This application ships with several unique "skins" that can be changed to accommodate the users preference.
