Miscellaneous
Tools included in this Toolset don't fall into a specific category and have been labeled as miscellaneous.  They are, however, far from trivial.  The SolarWinds TFTP Server is the ONLY multi-threaded TFTP Server available and the WAN Killer is a very useful traffic generator for loading and testing networks.
TFTP Server - The SolarWinds TFTP Server has the ability to send and receive multiple files concurrently. It also has a very handy security filter and control screen for limiting access this TFTP Server. The award winning Solarwinds TFTP Server is now available as a free download or you can download the entire Evaluation Version of the complete toolset .

WAN Killer - WAN Killer is a Wide Area Network traffic generator. Set the circuit bandwidth and the percent of load needed and WAN Killer will generate random traffic. The packet size can also be adjusted.  With the WAN Killer you can specify the amount of load you desire, 25% 50% 100% or even 150%!  WAN Killer will interactively test the connection and adjust the traffic generate to achieve the desired load based on your requirements.
SNMP Trap Receiver - The SolarWinds Trap Receiver is used to receive, log, and view SNMP traps. The SNMP Trap Receiver is used to receive and display SNMP Traps that are being sent from a  network device, server or network management application like the Network Performance Monitor.  This application is typically used to analyze the format of the trap and to verify that a trap source is configured and functioning properly

SNMP Trap Editor - The SolarWinds Trap Editor is used to modify SNMP Trap Templates used by SolarWinds Network Management Tools. By using the Trap Editor, you can create SNMP Traps of almost any structure ... including mimicking traps generated by network hardware.

Network Performance Monitor can use Trap Templates when generating  SNMP Alerts.

Spam Blacklist
One problem that could be detected by monitoring blacklist servers would be when one of your end users receives a Trojan program which uses the corporate mail servers to send SPAM or copies of itself on to other email systems.  As a result of the mass mailing caused by the virus, your corporate mail server becomes blacklisted.  Other business partners begin to block your mail because of your blacklist status.  You need to know that you have been blacklisted so you can track down the reason why, fix the problem, and then send a request to the blacklist administrator that your address range be removed from the blacklist.
