InterMapper Remote Provides Live Views of Your Network

InterMapper Remote in MacOS X and Windows
InterMapper Remote is a cross-platform remote viewer. It provides these benefits:

  • A network manager can see real-time views of the network and edit the maps from satellite offices or home
  • Help desk staff can see what's happening without calling or visiting the Network Operations Center (NOC)
  • A consultant can watch their customer's maps
  • Runs on the computers you have handy: Windows, Mac, Unix, and Linux

Remote Configuration

In addition to showing the status of your network, InterMapper Remote is a first-class tool for configuring your InterMapper server. You can run the InterMapper server in your NOC and administer it completely from your office.

Security

InterMapper Remote and Web access is controlled by user name and passwords, as well as IP address restrictions. InterMapper also can employ SSL to encrypt the connection between InterMapper Remote and its server.

InterMapper Remote works across direct IP network connections and VPNs, and through firewalls, by communicating through a user-selected port to the distant InterMapper server.

View the Maps on the Web

InterMapper also has a built-in web server that displays the information that's available on-screen on a standard web browser. Its static views are convenient for a company-wide status page so that all your users can see when things are working.
